Individual therapy sessions are 45 minutes, couples and family therapy sessions are 60 minutes, and group therapy sessions are 90 minutes.

The first session is called an initial evaluation. It is a chance for us to get to know each other and for me to learn about different areas of your life and history. I prioritize helping you feel comfortable speaking with me for the first time and feel ready and safe to share more. I also encourage you to ask me questions about my approach and experience.

I am an out-of-network provider for all insurance plans. Many plans reimburse for individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy, and I will provide you with the paperwork necessary for reimbursement.

Here are important questions to ask your insurance provider to determine your out-of-network coverage:

• Does my plan include out-of-network coverage for mental health benefits?
• What is my annual deductible? Is there a separate deductible for mental health benefits?
• What percentage of the psychotherapy session fee is reimbursed?
• Is there a session limit for the coverage?
• How do I file a claim?

Harris Psychological Services has formally opted out of Medicare and does not bill Medicare for services. If you are a Medicare beneficiary, federal regulations require that you sign a private agreement confirming that you are choosing to work with a psychologist outside of Medicare and understand that Medicare will not reimburse you for services.

If you currently have Medicare or expect to become eligible soon, please let us know during your initial consultation call. We are happy to review what this means and answer any questions so you can make an informed decision about your care.

Yes! I see patients in person in my office in Livingston, NJ. I also offer tele-health visits. I am licensed in NJ and NY, and am authorized to see patients via tele-health in 39+ states with my psypact authorization.
